Condensing Boilers
Recover exhaust heat for maximum efficiency
Condensing boilers capture latent heat from flue gases that conventional boilers waste, condensing water vapour to recover energy. The result is AFUE ratings of 90–98% — compared to 60–80% for older units. Nearly all modern high-efficiency boilers are condensing. They use PVC/CPVC venting and require a condensate drain, but the fuel savings and rebate eligibility make them the standard choice for Canadian replacements.
